About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President Sales for the Bioprocessing Americas region. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading commercial operations, including sales, business development, and relationship management, to drive growth with new and existing biopharma and biotechnology customers. Key responsibilities for this role include defining and executing the Americas sales strategy, driving sales for the bioprocessing business, and aligning the company with customers' innovation objectives. The VP will also be responsible for monitoring the competitive landscape, leading proposal development, and structuring significant deals. A strong focus on strategic account management, solution selling, and the ability to coach a sales team in technical selling cycles is essential. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in the life sciences, bioproduction, or biotechnology sectors, and the ability to build and mentor a high-performing sales team. Applicants for the Vice President Sales position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' commercial experience in the relevant sectors, with an advanced degree such as an MBA preferred. A background in technical sales, with at least 7 years' experience in the life sciences and bioprocess industries, is also required. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the market landscape, technologies, and sales cycles for key biopharmaceutical customers, as well as significant knowledge of R&D and production processes within the industry. The role demands a leader with a strong executive presence, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and persuade in a cross-functional context. The candidate should be adept at strategic account management, solution selling, and have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work across all levels and functions within the company are also essential.
