PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for providing leadership, knowledge, and experience to team members of the Warehouse Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Plans and coordinates work, trains, and monitors activities of Material Control Attendants.
• Accountable for planning, organizing, and monitoring the shipping of products as well as receiving, storing, and distributing all items received.
• Verifying and keeping records on inbound and outbound shipments and preparing items for outbound shipments in coordination with the Warehouse Shipping Lead, Shipping Coordinator, etc.
• Oversee inbound and outbound receiving/shipping activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Direct movement of shipments from the shipping and receiving areas to storage work areas and internal departments.
• Maintaining an accurate inventory and performing cycle counts and an annual physical inventory.
• Notify and/or deliver incoming products to end users.
• Maintain accurate inventory of shipping materials and supplies and collaborate with the Inventory Control team members.
• Interpret packing slips and enter information into the computer system.
• Complete shipping and receiving reports.
• Perform Daily inspection of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Adhere to established Safety guidelines and participate in Safety Meetings when necessary.
• Perform other duties which may be required by supervisors and managers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be licensed to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or have the ability to become licensed.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL:

Physical Demands:

Activities: Sitting – 25% Walking/Standing – 75%

Lifting: Continuously lift up to 50 lbs.

Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.

Vision: Long periods of close work on the computer screen and the ability to see small or detailed items.

Mental Demands: Interpret, analyze, research, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Environment: Climate-controlled office and warehouse, which is not climate-controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust, and fumes.
