Are you a driven and upbeat individual looking to make an impact in the renewable energy sector? Join our team at TAKKION as a Wind Technician! You’ll work alongside outstanding leadership and field teams, playing a crucial role in the success of our company. As a Wind Technician, you will inspect, install, maintain, operate, and repair wind turbines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate daily in morning safety meetings.
• Complete inspections of equipment and tools for safe use.
• Engage in Job Safety Analysis.
• Inspect the exterior and physical integrity of wind turbine towers.
• Climb towers to inspect, troubleshoot, or repair turbine equipment.
• Test electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions.
• Service underground transmission systems, wind field substations, or fiber optic sensing and control systems.
• Replace worn or malfunctioning components.
• Follow maintenance manuals and standard operating procedures for wind turbine parts.
• Complete and validate written and electronic progress reports.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the worksite.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proficient in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, braking, and electrical systems of turbines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team-driven attitude with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team.
• Comfortable using technology apps and devices.
• Must possess a valid ID.
• Ability to climb a ladder system with tools and equipment to heights of at least 260 feet.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Capacity to work for prolonged periods in potentially extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to enter and exit confined spaces to access mechanical parts.
• Must wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Willingness to work beyond normal operating hours as business demands require.
