Job Description

A leading manufacturer is seeking a Document Control Specialist to manage and maintain critical documentation, including MTRs and process certificates. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in handling supplier documentation within the steel industry.

Salary: $18-21/hr

Location: North Houston, TX 77032

Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a strong understanding of MTRs and their requirements.
• Assess incoming supplier MTRs to ensure compliance with established standards before system entry.
• Generate MTRs for customer orders in accordance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Accurately enter data into the designated software and promptly address discrepancies with vendors.
• Prepare coating certificates for fastener and industrial coating orders.
• Upload and submit quality documentation through designated customer portals.
• Review and address customer feedback related to submitted documentation.
• Work closely with other departments to resolve order documentation issues.
• Ensure timely processing and delivery of documentation and products as required.
• Participate in training programs to enhance job performance and comply with company policies, quality management standards, and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of similar experience within manufacturing dealing with mill certificates
• Experience in steel industry a plus
• ERP experience
• High School Diploma / GED
• Basic computer skills and basic Math/Chemistry
