Job Description

Liquid Agency , a brand experience agency, is looking for a FREELANCE Internal Communications Manager for a 12-month engagement based in Bentonville, AR.

As the Internal Communications Manager, you will bridge the gap between the payroll department and employees, ensuring clear, timely, and engaging communication about payroll processes, updates, and policies. Your efforts will empower employees with the knowledge they need to feel informed and supported.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute payroll communication strategies, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
  • Create and distribute payroll-related content through emails, intranet updates, newsletters, and other internal channels.
  • Translate complex payroll concepts into employee-friendly language for a diverse workforce.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and the payroll department, troubleshooting issues and addressing inquiries with efficiency and tact.
  • Collaborate with payroll, HR, and legal teams to ensure alignment and regulatory adherence.
  • Maintain and update the payroll section of the intranet to ensure information is accurate, accessible, and engaging.
  • Gather employee feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance the employee experience.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in payroll, internal communications, or human resources.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to build cross-enterprise relationships and interact successfully across all organizational levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Slack, JIRA, or similar platforms.
