Documents and interprets rhythm strips for all patients. Communicates appropriate nurses of changes in cardiac rhythms. As a member of the nursing unit, conducts self to promote an organized and positive environment. Essential Functions: Clinical Responsibilities : Provides continues cardiac monitor observation. Communication Responsibilities : Communicates the appropriate nurse of changes in cardiac rhythm/documents rhythm strips. Technical Responsibilities : Ensures all cardiac telemetry monitoring equipment is in working order at all times. Flags monitor appropriately, i.e., patient off floor. Qualifications/Requirements: Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma: GED equivalent or High School certificate Education/Knowledge: Experience: Less than one year. Training in Cardiac monitoring and documentation- Certification Preferred. BLS is required - American Heart Association.
