Job Description

Hi there, thanks for stopping by. We’re glad to have gotten your attention, and we hope that if what we say below sparks some interest that you apply. About Carbon. We’re not your average professional services firm. Carbon launched in 2014 with the goal to shake up the industry and change the level of service that small and medium business owners received. We combine all the core business services in one place (from accounting to bookkeeping to finance to insurance and everything in between), bringing together some of the best experts in the industry so our clients can focus on doing more of what they love. About the role. In July 2014, Carbon turned 10 and as we start the next phase, we have big goals. To achieve them, we need to continue to build amazing teams full of passionate and talented people…who need to be recruited. Which is where you come in. Our people (Carbonites) are a key part of our mission, and to achieve our goals we want to ensure we have the best people in our teams across Australia. As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all end-to-end recruitment for Carbon nationally. Your headhunting and relationship-building skills will be pivotal to ensure that when great people are ready for new adventures, Carbon is the first firm they think of. This will require someone who has their finger on the pulse, an ability to develop rapport quickly, and aims to be ahead of the game. Join the People & Culture team in this stand-alone role where you will be the go-to person for recruitment at Carbon, reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture. Lead the ongoing development and execution of our recruitment strategy. This means you will need to be at the forefront of the recruitment space – proactive, not reactive. Manage the recruitment cycle, from creating and nurturing a talent pool, candidate attraction, job advert creation, candidate screening through to offer. Develop and maintain relationships with potential new Carbonites, going beyond just sending messages on LinkedIn to actually getting to know someone to ensure they are the right person for the role. Utilise our people platform to ensure all recruitment data is accurate and provide monthly reports. A few specifics… Full-time / part-time: We are open to this role being either full-time or part-time so we are running two separate adverts. If you’re considering the part-time role, it will be 25-30 hours per week working each day Monday-Friday. The exact hours on each day are flexible, and we can chat about that. Role location: Either office-based (Osborne Park) or a hybrid of in-office and WFH. You’ll need to be able to make trips from time to time to other offices (we anticipate 2-3 trips a year, as a rough guide). Salary: The salary will be on par with the market, and after 6 months there will be the opportunity to implement a bonus structure based on the recruitment targets and strategy. Why Carbon? We aspire to create a culture in every office where our people are motivated and supported to achieve their goals. Here are a few things we offer, but as a member of the People & Culture team, you’ll be at the forefront to suggest new ideas! Flexible working arrangements – we mentioned these above, tick! Learning and development opportunities driven by you: Want to focus your skills in a certain area, or explore something new with training? Great, let’s do it. We have an internal LMS and external training options. Social activities to suit different people: Regular team events, office events, community giveback opportunities, etc. And, of course, we also offer some great benefits like discounts, cashbacks, rewards, and initiatives to support wellness. Who we’re looking for: Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role, likely from a recruitment agency or solely within a Talent Acquisition team of a large business. Experience from the accounting / finance / professional services space will be advantageous. Experience in creating, managing, and nurturing a talent pool of candidates. Experience headhunting candidates and success in placing them in roles long-term. Experience in managing all elements of recruitment from job advert creation through to selection, including helping Hiring Managers navigate interviews. Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruitment tools. A track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic, and creating authentic relationships with people. Brilliant communication skills, working with all levels to build strong relationships and rapport. Exceptional time and task management skills. Ability to work autonomously and travel interstate as needed. Ready to apply? Great, we'd love to hear from you. At Carbon, we know we’re at our best when we look out for one another; prioritise respect, fairness, development and wellbeing; foster an inclusive culture and embrace diversity in all forms. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of their background, experience, identity, ability or thinking style, and if you need assistance or an accommodation during the application process for accessibility reasons, this is available upon request. #J-18808-Ljbffr Everi Pty
